Resumption of failed ticket on IRCTC

IRCTC has launched new service..

Hi Guys,

I was trying to book a TATKAL tickt on IRCTC and as usual my after deducting amount from my bank account, transaction failed.

I noticed one option on left hand side panel saying that "Resumption of failed ticket". Below is the explanation as per my understanding of this option......

This option is nothing but a chance to resume your failed transaction again that means you don't need to put in all the details and selecting railway stations and passenger name, but in place of that what you have do is click on "Resumption of failed ticket" and it will list your failed transactions, select the one which you were trying to book and click on "resume ticket" button. That's it! IRCTC will resume the same transaction again.

The disadvantage is your failed transaction will reflect here only after 15 minutes of failure, also it might happen that at the time of booking your ticket status was different and when you resume transaction berth availability is different.

Hope this helps you!!

In addition to above, recently found that there is a way to find passenger details of any PNR, check out below link..

99% of failed transactions are in the peak hours of tatkal tickets when every minute counts .... if you resume it after 15 minutes it is guaranteed that you will never get a ticket : in summary Another stupid option created by irctc to fool passengers !

I tried this option & was able to resume the failed ticket. Process started successfully from the bank page details with the latest availability but it showed error "Only two ticket can be booked for tatkal between 10 to 12 pm" !!!

This Option is worth of shit. I have clicked on that so called new option "Resumption of failed ticket", but what all I can see is only my ticket details. and in addition money has been deducted from my account.

How is it going to save time when you need to wait 15 minutes to get the option enabled ? Moreover, today I tried this option for non-tatkal booking. After clicking 'Resume', i was redirected to the booking page with the details that i entered. But the twist is.... there is no button or link to help me resume the ticket.
I wonder how could IRCTC host this feature even without testing it.
Adding to the total time wasted on irctc.

I had the feeling a few months back that IRCTC is getting better. But since the last two months its worser than ever. Booking a tatkal tkt online is near to impossible. It seems like "Page expired" error is waiting for someone to click "login".
